Founder Devon Brophy, AIA, is a residential architect dedicated to creating thoughtfully designed homes that balance functionality, elegance, and context. With experience spanning residential projects of all scales across Washington, D.C., and Maryland, she brings a refined approach to every project, ensuring each home reflects the unique needs and vision of its owners.

Originally from New Jersey, Devon studied architecture at The Catholic University of America and has made Washington, D.C. her home. She is a registered architect in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, combining local expertise with a passion for preservation to craft spaces that are both timeless and distinctly personal.

Conceptual Design

The first step to any project, conceptual design begins with establishing the client’s goals for the home and collaborating to determine the layout of the home and overall project scope.

Construction Documents

We provide a full set of architectural drawings used for permitting and construction. We team up with interior designers and engineers to deliver a full set of construction documents to the client.

Variances

Some projects may require a variance or special exception be filed if your project exceeds the zoning regulations. We file all variances and special exception applications in house and will testify on the client’s behalf at the hearing.

Permitting Services

We handle all permitting in house ensuring that the process is hassle free to the client.

Bidding & Negotiation

We partner with general contractors across the DMV area and can provide assistance in the bidding and negotiation process to help you find a General contractor that fits your project.

Construction Administration

We are able to assist our clients throughout the construction of their homes by interfacing with the General Contractor and performing site visits to review progress of construction.
