About
Founder Devon Brophy, AIA studied at The Catholic University of America earning her B.S. of Architecture, Masters of Architecture and Masters of Science in Sustainable Design. She is a registered architect in Washington, D.C. and Maryland and has been practicing since 2019. She has worked on over 50 renovations and additions in the DMV area as 34th Street Architecture. Prior to starting 34th Street Architecture in 2021 Devon worked at larger architecture firms in Washington, D.C. specializing in adaptive reuse projects and institutional and laboratory renovations.

Conceptual Design
The first step to any project, conceptual design begins with establishing the client’s goals for the home and collaborating to determine the layout of the home and overall project scope.
Construction Documents
We provide a full set of architectural drawings used for permitting and construction. We team up with interior designers and engineers to deliver a full set of construction documents to the client.
Variances
Some projects may require a variance or special exception be filed if your project exceeds the zoning regulations. We file all variances and special exception applications in house and will testify on the client’s behalf at the hearing.
Permitting Services
We handle all permitting in house ensuring that the process is hassle free to the client.
Bidding & Negotiation
We partner with general contractors across the DMV area and can provide assistance in the bidding and negotiation process to help you find a General contractor that fits your project.
Construction Administration
We are able to assist our clients throughout the construction of their homes by interfacing with the General Contractor and performing site visits to review progress of construction.
